Snoring

Snoring can be reduced by positioning the jaw forward allowing more space at the back of the tongue reducing vibration when air passes. When snoring is a problem, an investigation for Obstructive Sleep Apnoea should be considered. SleepEquip recommends that where snoring is a problem, consultation with a Physician should be sought.

Body position devices encourage the user to keep from sleeping on their back. Generally, those that snore do so more on their back than when laying on their side or front. Positional Sleep Apnoea can also be reduced by sleeping in positions other than on the back.
