CPAP Pump Filters

All CPAP pumps have filters on their inlet ports. If you don't think yours has, it just means you haven't found it yet or it is missing. Filters should be checked at least monthly and cleaned or replaced depending on the filter type. A dirty filter will put undue stress on the CPAP pump motor increasing wear and tear and causing it to generate more heat. Considering that a CPAP pump will filter about 60 litres of air a minute, the entire air content of a bedroom may be filtered each night. No wonder they can get dirty so quickly.
